Our clients’ benefits consulting needs extend beyond just health, welfare and retirement benefits.  As such, we help companies design, implement and offer executive benefit plans that go beyond traditional health, welfare and retirement plans offered to all employees. We help companies attract, retain and reward their difference makers or key performers. Some of the plans we typically consult on include: nonqualified deferred compensation plans, supplemental life and disability plans, long-term care insurance plans, phantom stock plans, SERPs, REBAs and bonus plans.

  • Plan Design
    After understanding your needs, we make recommendations on the type of plan most appropriate and provide guidance on the many design options pertaining to the plan and relevant regulatory considerations.
  • Financing Analysis
    Our recommendations for financing an executive benefit plan are founded strictly in objective and quantitative reasoning.  With the use of financial models, we show clients the costs of funding plans with different vehicles.  Some of the financial models we look at include: annual and cumulative P&L statement impact, cash flow implications, present value cost calculations and asset to liability matching.
  • Vendor Searches
    Once a plan design and financing mechanism is agreed upon, we manage the RFP process among viable vendors to help you select the vendor whose product and platform best suit the needs of your company and your executive benefit plans.
  • Plan Implementation
    As an extension of your team, we oversee the entire implementation process.  Our management includes announcement memoranda, finalization of plan documentation, plan review with finance and assisting in the preparation of enrollment materials, among others.
  • Participant Communications
    Our active role in participant communications includes enrollment meetings, periodic participant meetings and benefit statements.  Depending on your needs and population, we employ a variety of media in effecting our communications to participants.
  • Ongoing Monitoring
    Depending on the type of plan implemented, our consultants monitor and review the plan to ensure that it meets corporate goals and objectives.  The monitoring can include looking at participation rates, changing legislation, investment option performance, product suitability and budget projections, among others.
