We serve both small businesses and middle market companies with employees ranging in number from 5 to 10,000. We manage benefits for our clients using 3 core principles: responsive service, strategic planning and use of the latest technology. Our consultants begin each client relationship by performing a comprehensive assessment of your entire benefit program, keeping in mind your specific goals and objectives.
We consider ourselves an extension of your benefits department and work hard to keep our clients abreast of the complexities of the changing regulatory and product environments. A hallmark of our consulting is that we are completely independent with respect to carriers and products and do not have a bias towards compensation. Compensation is fully disclosed to our clients.
Services
- Underwriting
Our team of consultants use their underwriting skills to help companies control cost, negotiate rates and forecast ever-increasing claims cost. By conducting an underwriting analysis of each renewal we can advocate credibly on behalf of clients with carriers when appropriate.
- Reporting
Our claims analysis is done throughout the policy year, rather than limiting it to an annual event. In order to identify trends early on in the year, we generally review a client’s claim experience on a quarterly basis. As part of this reporting, we use sophisticated software to look at claims utilization data from many perspectives.
- Compliance
We review our clients’ compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA and the Americans with Disabilities Act, among others. Our team of consultants, in conjunction with our retained counsel when appropriate, help mitigate unnecessary risk. Our clients have experienced Department of Labor audits without any issues, which is a testament to our services.
- Benchmarking
To assist clients in offering competitive programs and to help with plan design decisions, we benchmark our clients’ plan by industry, region or size.
- Technology
We offer clients the full continuum of technology available to efficiently and cost-effectively provide human resource services and employee benefits. Unlike most firms, we are not aligned with any products so each of our recommendations is a custom-tailored solution. Industry reports suggest that using benefits technology is a significant, growing trend in the human resource and employee benefits field.
